Intermediate Design Manager - Main Contractor - Reading
Salary: £40 000 - £50 000
I am currently looking for an intermediate-level construction design manager to work for a top main contractor based in Reading. My client are a brilliant contractor to work for, they are currently in the top 15 contractors nationally by gross profit and top 10 in the amount successful tenders since January 2018. With last years annual turnover just under £1 billion they are large contractor, working on medium-large construction projects between £1 and £50 million. Even with their size you will still be working in a relatively small yet growing design team working under the regional design manager and have the responsibility of working the whole process of design rather than being confined to a small aspect. That said, you will be given regular opportunities to grow and develop as my client have a history of low staff turnover with most of their senior management having worked in the business for many years. You will be working on various construction projects form education, healthcare, commercial and leisure.
You will ideally need 3+ years working as a design manager. You need to have had experience working on your own projects and be proficient in the basic requirements of design management. You will need to have worked on projects within the construction industry, and experience working on schools within the ESFA Framework will be of particular interest. This role would suit an experienced assistant or design manager who has already worked for a main/ regional contractor and is looking for a fresh challenge.
My client are looking to offer a salary between £40 00 and £50 000, however this is negotiable based on experience. My client are also looking for a Senior Design Manager so more experienced CV's will also be welcome.
