I am looking for a Lead systems and requirements engineer to join my clients team in Oxford. I am looking for an experienced systems and requirements engineer to support the company's activity to translate new technology into products based around lab-on-a-chip devices.


The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with researchers and engineers in a variety of technical areas including microfluidics, mechanics, electronics, optics, software and chemistry. The successful applicant will also work closely with the product and project management functions to ensure cost effective and timely developments of new products.


Essential skills

  • a 1st degree in Physics, engineering, chemistry or material science from a leading university.
  • A masters degree, PhD or industrial experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in R&D, technology transfer and new product introduction - ideally for semiconductor, display, electronic products and/or microfluidics.
  • Expertise in Electronic engineering, firmware development, microfluidics, mechanical engineering, software development.
  • Experience with working with 3rd party suppliers.


Desirable skills

  • Experience and Knowledge with microfluidic devices
  • Experience with working in life science, bio-tech or medical device sectors.
  • Familiarity with Prince2 project management
  • Familiarity with quality management systems preferably ISO13485
