Physical Design Engineer

This is a brand new Physical Design position with a silicon start-up developing transformative new technology.


Based in Cambridge, my client is currently in stealth-mode, targeting deep-tech hardware, chip-design. The team, currently around 9 people strong, consists mainly of Analog IC experts, and Digital ASIC Design experts. I am looking for an experienced Physical Design engineer to join the team in charge of all back end activity.


I am looking for someone with:


  • You will be degree qualified, with a University qualification in Electronics or related field.
  • You will have proven experience in designing digital ASICs / SoCs, with particular strength on backend design
  • Expertise within Synthesis, Floorplanning, Place and Route (P&R), Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS), Parasitic Extraction, Static Timing Analysis (STA) & Timing Closure, Physical Verification, Power Analysis and Formal Verification.
