Technology Manager (Machine Learning / NLP)

c100k GBP base plus bonus & stock (Cambridge or London)


A growing technology start-up is looking for a Technology Manager with a hands-on mentality to report to the CEO - this role will require 30/40% hands-on coding- Python and C++ preferred.

You will mentor and lead a team of Machine Learning developers and Research Scientists- prior industrialised Machine Learning and/or NLP experience is strongly desired. Prior experience of managing remote teams would be beneficial as this role will require some travel to Europe

-Candidates should have a degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or equivalent.

-Good competencies in programming languages such as Python and C++ and/or Java.

-Knowledge of algorithm design.

-Proven technical leadership and/or management experience

-Passion for technology and innovation

You will be responsible for delivering our client's software development objectives. In addition you will represent our client externally and assist in growing the development team. You will take a primary lead in developing the engineering culture and installing good practices and processes.
