The Plessey manufacturing facilities are now being expanded to utilise their 150mm, Class 10 cleanroom facility plus tooling: EVG Gemini precision wafer bonders, Aixtron G5+ MOVPE reactors, Temescal 2800/4900 Evaporators, AMAT CVD & SPTS Omega ICP Etch frames. Plessey is now expanding capacity and capability in the Plymouth facility to Class.1 ballroom cleanroom using 200mm tooling.
The Plymouth site also houses Test / Characterisation, Failure Analysis, and pilot colourisation & assembly capabilities, which allows for a full turnkey production capability and world-class cycle time DOE (Design of Experiments) feedback for development cycles.
