Working on complex refractive optical systems, this is an excellent opportunity within a growing engineering team, developing next-generation vision products.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This is an onsite position based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Responsibilities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Design, model and optimise complex multi-element refractive optical systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Perform optical simulations and analyse aberrations, wavefront error, image quality and tolerance sensitivity<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Develop simulation and analysis tools using Python, MATLAB or similar scripting languages<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Investigate optical performance issues and identify the root causes of system limitations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Validate optical designs and translate performance requirements into practical engineering solutions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Provide technical guidance on optical system behaviour and simulation results to multidisciplinary teams<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Support customer projects with optical modelling, simulation data and technical insight across the product lifecycle<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Requirements:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Degree in Optical Engineering, Applied Physics, Photonics or a related discipline<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Hands-on optical design and simulation experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Hands-on design and optimising optical system experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong understanding of optical physics, wave optics and imaging system design<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Proficiency with Zemax or similar software for optical design<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Proficiency with Python, MATLAB or similar tools for modelling, automation and analysis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex simulation data<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">If you are interested, contact Ella Flynn @ IC Resources for more details.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My client is looking for an Optical Systems Engineer, responsible for the design and simulation of advanced vision technologies.
