As the business continues to grow, they&#8217;re looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to play a key role in developing products from initial concept through to full-scale manufacture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering team where you&#8217;ll have genuine ownership of product development, working on technically challenging projects that make a real commercial impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Lead the mechanical design and development of innovative hardware products using SolidWorks<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Create high-quality 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Collaborate closely with electronics, firmware and software engineers to develop fully integrated products<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Design for manufacturability, reliability, performance and cost<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Lead prototype builds, testing and mechanical validation, driving continuous product improvement<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to successfully transition products into production<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Contribute to manufacturing readiness, procurement activities and production scale-up<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Identify and implement design improvements that enhance product quality, performance and manufacturability<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">You&#8217;ll have:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics or a related discipline<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">At least five years&#8217; experience in mechanical product design and development<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Advanced SolidWorks experience, with the ability to produce high-quality manufacturing documentation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience taking products from concept through to manufacture<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">A strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and the integration of electronic components into mechanical assemblies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience working with suppliers, manufacturing partners and production environments<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering team<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Desirable experience:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience developing industrial, consumer or other electromechanical products<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Familiarity with PCB layout considerations and integrating electronics into mechanical designs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience working with rapid prototyping and low-volume production<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">If you&#8217;re looking for a role where you&#8217;ll influence the design of innovative products, work across the full product development lifecycle and help bring cutting-edge hardware to market, we&#8217;d love to hear from you, contact Gemma Rowe for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re working with an innovative technology company developing next-generation hardware products that combine precision mechanical engineering with advanced electronics.
