You&#8217;ll work across the entire development lifecycle, from pre-silicon validation to post-silicon bring-up, ensuring the highest standards of quality and security.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day to Day:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, develop, and debug firmware for ARM Cortex-M based microcontrollers and their associated peripherals.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and execute comprehensive unit testing strategies to ensure code quality and reliability.<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation and bring-up activities.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with hardware and architecture teams to define specifications, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the design and implementation of secure firmware features, including secure boot mechanisms.<\/li>\n<li>Develop high-quality, well-documented APIs and maintain strong design principles throughout the firmware development process.<\/li>\n<li>Work effectively within a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and integrate IoT\/networking stacks for connected devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s or master\u2019s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of experience in firmware development, with a strong focus on embedded systems.<\/li>\n<li>Proven expertise with ARM Cortex-M processors and their peripherals.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience with firmware unit testing and involvement in pre-silicon and post-silicon development phases.<\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding of good API and design skills for robust and maintainable code.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with IoT\/networking stacks (e.g., TCP\/IP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Matter, Thread).<\/li>\n<li>Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with hardware, architecture, and cross-functional teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Interview Process:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>5 stages \u2013 Screening call, Tech Screening Call, Tech Assessment, call with Chief of Staff, finally a call with the CTO.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to apply:&nbsp; <\/strong>If you are interested, please email with your updated CV and a time that\u2019s best to call you <a href=\"mailto:ella.atkinson@ic-resources.com\">ella.atkinson@ic-resources.com<\/a> or call me on 01184675779.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that sponsorship isn\u2019t available.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My client is a fast-scaling, cutting-edge, deep tech semiconductor company, founded in 2022, and they are looking for an experienced Firmware Engineer to join the team.
