{"id":199985,"date":"2026-08-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/jobs\/physical-design-engineer-502304\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T10:09:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T09:09:10","slug":"physical-design-engineer-502304","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/us\/jobs\/physical-design-engineer-502304\/","title":{"rendered":"Physical Design Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This client is looking for a Physical Design Engineer to join their semiconductor R&amp;D team in Antwerp, working on the implementation of complex digital circuitry for advanced imaging technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This is a hands-on Physical Design Engineer position covering the RTL-to-GDS flow, with scope to work across implementation, optimisation and backend methodology development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Key responsibilities<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Execute the complete digital backend flow from RTL to GDS, including synthesis, floorplanning, power planning, place &amp; route, clock tree synthesis (CTS), static timing analysis (STA) and logic equivalence checking (LEC)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Provide innovative solutions to reach product targets and drive performance, power and area optimizations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Develop, maintain and enhance backend methodologies, flows and automation scripts<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Collaborate closely with the analog team and the digital design and verification engineers to resolve implementation challenges and successfully complete the project<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Participate in design\/architecture reviews and risk assessments from a physical implementation perspective<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Position Qualifications<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Bachelor\u2019s degree or above in microelectronics or related fields<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with the complete digital backend flow from RTL to GDS<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with industry-standard EDA tools<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Proficiency in scripting languages (Tcl, Python)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with Cadence tools is preferred&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with CMOS image sensor architectures is highly desireable&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">For more information on this role or others then please contact Jordan Browne at IC Resources.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This client is looking for a Physical Design Engineer to join their semiconductor R&amp;D team in Antwerp, working on the implementation of complex digital circuitry for advanced imaging technologies.
