You will lead a team of experienced design engineers while remaining closely involved in RTL development, design optimisation and the delivery of complex hardware projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">The Principal Design Team Leader will have the opportunity to influence technical direction, engineering processes and future product development, working closely with colleagues across architecture, algorithms, software and verification.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Key responsibilities<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Lead, mentor and develop a team of digital design engineers<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Provide technical leadership across complex ASIC and FPGA development projects<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Remain hands on with RTL design and contribute to architectural and implementation decisions<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring designs meet performance, quality and schedule requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Drive optimisation across areas such as timing, power, area and throughput<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Work closely with architecture, verification, software and other engineering disciplines<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Help shape design methodologies, development processes and engineering best practices<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Translate higher level product requirements into clear technical objectives for the hardware team<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Support technical discussions with customers and senior stakeholders when required<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Identify opportunities to improve development efficiency through new tools, methodologies and emerging technologies<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Required experience:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong commercial experience in RTL design using Verilog and\/or SystemVerilog<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Previous line management or people management experience within an engineering environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience leading technical projects and coordinating engineers towards successful delivery<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience working with industry standard simulation and synthesis tools<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">The ability to balance hands on technical work with leadership and team development<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with both engineers and senior stakeholders<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This is a chance for a Principal Design Team Leader to join a growing engineering organisation where you can have a significant influence on both the technology and the people behind it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">The role offers a strong mix of hands on design, technical leadership and people management, with the scope to shape how the client&#8217;s hardware team develops as the business continues to grow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">For more information on this role or others then please contact Jordan Browne at IC Resources.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An innovative semiconductor company is expanding its hardware design organisation and is looking Digital Design Team Lead to take a senior role across complex digital IP development.
