{"id":251610,"date":"2026-11-04T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-11-04T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/jobs\/junior-embedded-software-engineer-541282\/"},"modified":"2026-11-07T18:14:44","modified_gmt":"2026-11-07T18:14:44","slug":"junior-embedded-software-engineer-541282","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/us\/jobs\/junior-embedded-software-engineer-541282\/","title":{"rendered":"Junior Embedded Software Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>Junior Hardware Verification Engineer<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Cambridge (Hybrid)<br \/><strong>Salary:<\/strong> Up to \u00a365,000 + Benefits<\/p>\n<p>An exciting opportunity to join a leading semiconductor technology company developing cutting-edge AI processors and high-performance computing solutions.<\/p>\n<p>This role is ideal for someone with a low-level embedded software background who is looking to move into hardware engineering and build a career in hardware verification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Working alongside experienced hardware engineers, you will support the verification and testing of advanced processor designs, developing your skills in hardware architecture, testing and debugging.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Support the verification and testing of hardware and processor designs.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and execute test cases to validate hardware functionality.<\/li>\n<li>Write Python scripts and C applications to support verification activities.<\/li>\n<li>Work with hardware engineers to debug issues and investigate failures.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out low-level testing, understanding how software interacts with hardware.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to automated testing and verification processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Background in low-level embedded software or hardware engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Strong programming skills in <strong>Python and C<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of how software interacts with hardware.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to microcontrollers, processors or embedded systems.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with low-level debugging and testing.<\/li>\n<li>A genuine interest in developing a career in hardware verification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Interested?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If this role sounds like something you may be interested in, please apply or email <a href=\"mailto:ella.atkinson@ic-resources.com\"><strong>ella.atkinson@ic-resources.com<\/strong><\/a> with an updated CV and a suitable time to talk.
