Our international client is currently seeking a Semiconductor Process Development Engineer to work at the interface of device development, process technology, and semiconductor manufacturing. The role will involve collaborating with device engineers and fabs/foundries to translate advanced device concepts into reliable, manufacturable semiconductor processes.
Key responsibilities
- Translate device structures and electrical requirements into manufacturable process flows
- Develop, optimize, and adapt semiconductor processes for advanced devices
- Assess device concepts for manufacturability, identifying process risks, limitations, and opportunities
- Work with fabs/foundries within their process capabilities and constraints
- Analyze wafer and device data to identify process variation and performance limitations
- Collaborate with device, integration, layout, characterization, and manufacturing teams to resolve process issues
- Optimize process conditions to achieve required performance, yield, reliability, and manufacturability
Required experience
- Strong experience in semiconductor process development and/or process integration
- Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and process modules
- Experience with CMOS, FinFET, and/or GAA technologies
- Knowledge of key process steps including lithography, deposition, etch, implantation, diffusion, oxidation, annealing, and metallisation
- Understanding of how process steps interact and influence device performance and variability
- Experience working with semiconductor fabs/foundries
- Experience analyzing wafer-level and device-level data, process windows, variation, and yield
- Proven ability to develop processes into repeatable, reliable manufacturing solutions
