This Engineering Director role focuses on leading the development of advanced electronic and instrumentation products. The Engineering Director will provide leadership to a multidisciplinary hardware engineering team while ensuring the successful delivery of complex development projects. The Engineering Director will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams to drive technical excellence and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of hardware and electronics engineers
- Oversee the delivery of multiple development projects
- Manage resource planning, budgets and project priorities
- Support product development from concept through production
- Drive technical quality and engineering best practices
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure successful product delivery
- Identify risks, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
- Support strategic planning and team growth initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience leading electronics or hardware engineering teams
- Strong background in product development and engineering delivery
- Experience managing project schedules, resources and budgets
- Ability to mentor engineers and develop high-performing teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
Desirable
- Experience within instrumentation, test equipment or advanced electronics
- Background in manufacturing and NPI environments
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Knowledge of hardware development processes and product lifecycle management
Salary
- €5,837.76 to €8,339.69 gross per month
- 13th-month salary payment
- Equivalent annual package of approximately €75,900 to €108,400 gross
