PIC Design Engineer

We are looking for a PIC Design Engineer to work for an exciting Italian team with a mission to design, simulate, and optimise photonic integrated circuits for advanced applications.

Skill Set Requirements:

• Experience in PIC design and simulation (e.g., Lumerical, IPKISS, KLayout, OptoDesigner)
• Strong understanding of waveguides, modulators, detectors, and passive components
• Layout design and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) knowledge
• Familiarity with silicon photonics platforms and PDKs
• Ability to analyze optical performance and tolerances
• Programming skills (Python/Matlab) are a plus
