Principal Analog IC Design Engineer

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior / Principal level Analog IC Design Engineer with one of the world’s leading technology giants, based in Cork, Ireland.

Our client is building a world-class SERDES team, working on the latest semiconductor process technologies with leading global foundries including TSMC, Intel and Samsung. As the Principal Analog IC Design Engineer, you will have complete ownership of high-speed blocks, rotating across different areas of the SERDES architecture. You’ll build breadth as well as depth, working on projects end-to-end with the added benefit of working in the onsite lab. Publications and patents are encouraged here, and the ambition is straightforward: to become world leaders in this technology area.

What we’re looking for:

Most importantly for this role is strong experience of the fundamentals of Analog IC Design. Whilst SERDES experience would be the ideal, our client is open to considering bright engineers who are keen to develop in this area.

Essentials include:

• A BEng, MEng or PhD qualification in Electronics Engineering (or similar)
• A number of years’ in CMOS Analog IC Design, ideally within high-speed design and development
• A deep understanding of the classic analog building blocks and the fundamental trade-offs

• Excellent problem-solving skills, analog aptitude, good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
