This Project Manager role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of complex engineering programmes developing next-generation RF and microwave technology used in mission-critical applications. Working across R&D, engineering and manufacturing teams, you’ll take ownership of projects from concept through to production, ensuring delivery remains aligned to technical, commercial and customer objectives.

The role operates on a hybrid basis, and due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

Our client is an established technology company developing advanced RF, microwave and mmWave solutions for demanding applications across communications, aerospace and defence. As programmes continue to grow in complexity, they’re looking for a Project Manager who can confidently work alongside highly technical engineering teams and understand the realities of developing sophisticated hardware products.

As the Project Manager, you’ll coordinate multidisciplinary development programmes across engineering, manufacturing and operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and ready for production.

Responsibilities include

  • Managing complex engineering projects through the full product development lifecycle
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams across RF, electronics, hardware, manufacturing, procurement and quality
  • Managing schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies and customer deliverables
  • Working closely with technical leads to ensure engineering activities remain aligned to programme objectives
  • Supporting manufacturing readiness and product introduction activities
  • Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience delivering complex R&D or manufacturing projects within RF, microwave, electronics, semiconductor or similarly advanced engineering environments
  • Strong understanding of hardware product development and engineering lifecycles
  • Ability to work confidently with highly technical engineering teams, understanding the challenges involved in developing complex electronic products
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering programmes from development through to production
  • Strong stakeholder management, planning and communication skills
  • Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira or similar
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical background would be advantageous

This is an opportunity to work on technology that genuinely pushes engineering boundaries. You’ll join a collaborative team developing world-leading RF and microwave products, where project managers are valued as technical delivery leaders rather than administrators. If you enjoy working alongside experienced engineers, solving complex technical challenges and seeing products progress from R&D into manufacture, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact.
