Project Manager

An established space technology business is growing its project management team and hiring at two levels. It designs and delivers satellite missions from LEO to GEO and beyond for institutional, export and defence customers worldwide. With a strong pipeline of constellation programmes and production scaling up, this is a good time to join.

We currently have a Project Manager opportunity to take responsibility for the full mission lifecycle, from early concept through AIT (assembly, integration and test), launch and in-orbit commissioning. Timescales are short, so you’ll see the results of your work quickly.

What the work involves

• Managing schedules, deliverables, risk and technical maturity gates
• Leading the core project team day to day
• Defining work packages and agreeing resources with engineering leads
• Running project reviews tied to customer payment milestones
• Managing budgets, contingency, cost to complete and margin
• Contributing programme input to bids and business development

What you’ll bring

• Experience delivering satellite or aerospace projects (constellation experience is valuable at senior level)
• Strong customer and stakeholder management
• Good understanding of contracts, commercial terms and risk management
• Ability to translate technical issues into schedule and cost impacts
• Confident use of MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Clear communication and steady leadership under pressure
• A degree in spacecraft engineering or a technical discipline, or equivalent experience (preferred)
