RF Systems Lead

A leading technology consultancy is looking for an RF Systems Lead to take on a high-impact, senior technical director or associate director level role. As a recognised authority in RF systems, this is an opportunity to shape projects, influence technical direction, and work alongside world-class engineers.

About the Role

This position is ideal for an expert in RF systems who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment. As an RF Systems Lead, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence across client projects, ensuring innovative and high-performance RF solutions. This is not a line management role—your focus will be purely on solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with internal teams, and engaging with clients at a senior level.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for RF systems across diverse projects
• Provide expertise in RF design, system architecture, and integration, with a strong understanding of 3GPP standards
• Influence internal stakeholders and gain buy-in for technical decisions
• Contribute to business development through technical leadership
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including DSP, communications, and wireless technologies
• Engage with clients, presenting and delivering high-impact RF solutions aligned with industry standards

What they’re looking for

• Deep expertise in RF systems—someone who can confidently operate as a go-to authority
• Strong multi-disciplinary knowledge (RF, DSP, communications) is a plus
• A hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a passion for cutting-edge technology
• The ability to engage both internally and externally to drive projects forward
• A minimum of 15-20 years of relevant experience (flexible for exceptional candidates)

Salary & benefits

• If considered at Director Level: Up to £140k base + 33% bonus
• If considered at Associate Director Level: Up to £110k base + 20% bonus
• Relocation package available (covering 25% of first-year earnings for those moving within range)
• Visa sponsorship available if required
• Hybrid working: 3 days onsite preferred
