Our leading Netherlands based start-up is currently searching for a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer to help to rapidly scale manufacturing capability by bringing new tools online and ensuring they operate with exceptional reliability in a fast-paced semiconductor startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tool Installation & Qualification: Lead full installation cycles with OEMs, from planning to production qualification (FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ)
- Tool Ownership & Maintenance: Own preventive maintenance (optimizing schedules, spares) and drive rapid corrective maintenance with root-cause analysis
- Facility Build-Out: Support commissioning of a new, state-of-the-art cleanroom and nanofabrication line
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Process Engineering to align equipment and process needs, co-own tool sourcing/specifications, and manage facility interfaces (gas, vacuum, electrical, cryogenics, etc.)
Required skills for the Semiconductor Equipment Engineer will include:
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced equipment, ideally in commercial cleanrooms
- Technical Skills: Experience with high-vacuum tools (semiconductor nanofab preferred). Knowledge of cryogenic/dilution refrigerator systems is a strong plus
- Background: Relevant technical degree (e.g., instrumentation, experimental physics, electrical engineering, mechatronics)
- Personal Attributes: A systematic problem-solver who is self-driven, team-oriented, and thrives with high ownership and minimal oversight in a time-pressure environment
