An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Analog IC Design Engineer to join a growing technology business in Edinburgh and play a key role in building a new IC Design team from the ground up. Hybrid working (2-3 days a week in the office) is the ideal with this role.

This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned engineer who wants to combine hands-on technical design with technical leadership, project ownership and team building. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the team, influence design methodologies and help establish a high-performing IC design function as the organisation continues to grow.

Working closely alongside the R&D Director, the Analog IC Design Lead will take ownership of analog IC design projects from initial concept and architecture through to implementation, verification and completion, while providing technical leadership to the wider team. As the team develops, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor and grow junior and mid-level engineers, helping build the capability and culture of the new design group.

Essentials include:

  • Significant, hands-on experience in Analog IC Design
  • Strong experience designing low-noise and low-power circuits
  • Experience working across mixed-signal IC design
  • Background in consumer electronics or high-volume commercial products
  • Proven ability to take IC designs from concept through to silicon
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering complex projects
  • Leadership experience, or the ambition and capability to build and lead a growing engineering team

Our client offers a competitive basic salary plus annual bonus, generous pension scheme, visa sponsorship and relocation assistance where needed.
