Data Engineer – Contract/Permanent (UK Hybrid)

IC Resources is working with a technology client looking for a Data Engineer to join them on a contract or permanent basis.

This role offers the opportunity to work on modern cloud-based data platforms supporting analytics and machine learning workloads.

You’ll be responsible for building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources, and helping to optimise data accessibility and performance across the platform.

Key technical requirements:

• Strong SQL and relational database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
• Experience with Airflow, dbt, or similar data pipeline tools
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong Python, Java, or Scala development skills
• ETL, data modelling, and data warehousing experience
• Git and CI/CD workflow experience

Nice to have:

• Kafka or Kinesis
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Apache Spark
• Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
