Electronics Technician

This Electronics Technician role focuses on the assembly, test and validation of advanced electronic products. The Electronics Technician will support engineering teams throughout product development and manufacturing activities. The Electronics Technician will play a key role in ensuring high-quality hardware is delivered to specification.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic prototypes and production hardware
• Perform board-level testing, fault finding and debugging
• Support engineers with product development and verification activities
• Carry out rework, soldering and component replacement to a high standard
• Maintain accurate build and test documentation
• Support manufacturing, NPI and continuous improvement activities
• Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions
• Manage laboratory equipment and test setups

Requirements

• HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Electronics or a related discipline
• Experience assembling and testing electronic hardware
• Strong soldering and rework skills
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
• Experience using laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good attention to detail and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience supporting prototype builds and NPI activities
• Familiarity with PCB assembly processes
• Knowledge of manufacturing and production environments
• Experience working within regulated or high-reliability industries
