My client is looking for a Failure Analysis Engineer to join their team in Spain, for a company working on innovative optical bandwith switching solutions.
The ideal Failure Analysis Engineer will contribute to photonic integrated modules designed for top-tier data center standards, and work closely with other teams to ensure product optimisation.
Responsibilities:

- Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations to improve reliability, design, and yield
- Establish and develop new failure analysis capabilities
- Manage complex investigations using advanced or novel techniques
- Influence design, process, and testing to meet performance targets
- Support product qualification for high-performance data center applications
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in failure analysis within semiconductor and/or photonics environments
- Hands-on experience with failure analysis tools
- Strong understanding of device physics and IC failure mechanisms
- Knowledge of packaging-related failure modes
- Experience with semiconductor advanced packaging
- Familiar with working in cleanroom environments and optical testing
