Graduate Layout Engineer

I’m working with an opportunity for a Graduate Layout Engineer with one of the UK’s leading Semiconductor companies, based in County Durham. Please note, candidates must hold a British passport for security clearance purposes.  

Are you a graduate with:

• An understanding of basic electronics?
• Knowledge of Semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, diodes)?
• PCB / IC Layout principles?

My client is an established semiconductor manufacturer which is receiving significant investment. Their team has an opportunity for a motivated Graduate to join and learn the ropes in providing technical layout support to the Process and Product Engineering teams. You’ll gain experience liaising with IC mask manufacturers, customers, engineers and programme managers to ensure reticle development is carried properly and on time, in order to support timescales and project objectives.

Requirements include:

• A degree in Electronic /Electrical Engineering / Physics (or similar)
• Hands-on project experience with PCB layout
• A good understanding of Semiconductor devices and basic electronics
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Plenty of motivation and enthusiasm to learn
