Hardware Security Engineer

We’re looking for a Hardware Security Research Engineer to join our team, working at the intersection of hardware, embedded systems, and cybersecurity.

You’ll research complex electronic and cyber-physical systems, identify potential vulnerabilities, and develop proof-of-concept solutions that help solve challenging security problems. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine technical expertise with creativity to understand how systems work and how they can be secured.

What you’ll do

• Research and analyse hardware and embedded systems
• Identify hardware and cyber-physical security vulnerabilities
• Design and build proof-of-concept prototypes and demonstrators
• Debug hardware using tools such as JTAG, UART, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers
• Reverse engineer hardware and firmware where required
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative security solutions
• Present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline
• Experience with electronics, embedded systems, or hardware development
• Hands-on experience debugging hardware and building prototypes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

You will need to be eligible for UK security clearance
