Lead Applications Engineer – Cork

This Lead Applications Engineer role focuses on supporting customers using advanced PCB design and schematic capture solutions. The Lead Applications Engineer will provide technical guidance across PCB development flows, helping customers maximise the value of industry-standard design tools. The Lead Applications Engineer will work closely with engineering teams and customers to solve complex design challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and training to customers using PCB design tools
• Assist customers with schematic capture, PCB implementation and design flows
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend best practices
• Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations
• Work with development teams to relay customer requirements and feedback
• Support customer evaluations and design projects
• Develop technical documentation and application notes
• Build strong relationships with customers and engineering teams

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in electronic hardware or PCB design
• Strong understanding of schematic capture and PCB development processes
• Experience with PCB design workflows and design verification
• Customer-facing or applications engineering experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly

Desirable

• Experience with Cadence Allegro Design Entry HDL or OrCAD Capture
• Knowledge of PCB layout, signal integrity or design for manufacture principles
• Experience delivering technical training or demonstrations
• Familiarity with enterprise engineering software environments
• Exposure to high-speed digital or mixed-signal designs
