Leading Expert – Storage

A Leading Expert – Storage is sought by this expanding multi-national to be based at their R+D Labs in Zurich. The Leading Expert – Storage will be responsible for both a team of highly qualified Research Engineers and for hands on research and development into emerging next generation storage technologies. The Leading Expert – Storage will spearhead the research of storage media systems (NAND, SSD, emerging media) redefining trade-offs between performance and power coupled with shaping next generation AI ready data infrastructures.

You will have extensive expertise in storage system technologies coupled with a strong understanding of AI infrastructure needs around LLM inference and KV cache strategies. You will have a deep knowledge of at least one storage media domain (NAND/SSD, tape/cold storage etc.) and any exposure to storage algorithms, IO path optimisation and orchestration would also be beneficial
