My client is looking for a Reliability Engineer focused on integrated photonic devices and modules. This is an exciting opportunity within an advanced photonics R&D scale-up.
This is an onsite position based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute reliability test plans for photonic integrated circuits, modules and assemblies
- Perform failure analysis across optical, thermal, mechanical and electrical domains
- Lead root‑cause investigations and translate findings into design and process improvements
- Develop lifetime models using accelerated test and field data
- Support customer and partner qualification requirements
- Work closely with design, process, packaging and test teams
- Contribute to design‑for‑reliability guidelines and continuous improvement
- Build and maintain reliability data, reporting and test frameworks
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in reliability engineering for photonics, lasers or optical modules
- Hands‑on experience with accelerated life testing and environmental stress testing
- Familiarity with standards such as GR‑468, JEDEC and MIL‑STD‑883
- Experience with supplier qualification and process improvement
- Strong failure analysis and data analysis capability
