Senior Electronic Engineer

Due to the companies continued growth, there is an exciting opportunity to join our small team of engineers.

This is a new position within the company where you will be developing and improving sensors, designing and implementing custom solutions working in conjunction with customers. You will be helping with the development of new products and technologies and undertaking projects to improve calibration, type and routine product testing. Also, you will be required to aid technical marketing through activities such as academic conference papers, commercial white papers and attendance at relevant symposiums.

This is a key role in the company as it continues to grow and undertakes planning the succession of key staff.

The successful candidate is expected to develop quickly and progress to Principal Engineer in 2 to 3 years.

Essential Requirements

• a minimum of a 1^st class or 2:1 in Electronic / Electrical Engineering (hons) or related subject at a Russell Group or equivalent University
• a master’s degree or PhD in Electronic / Electrical Engineering (hons) or related subject
• ability to demonstrate successful project leadership within your working role/roles
• Excellent communicator who can write and speak well, and maintain positive relationships with staff, suppliers and customers
• a good working knowledge of MATLAB
• a good working knowledge of SPICE or other circuit simulation packages

Desirable Requirements

• The ability to design PCB from schematic capture
• High level of CAD drawing ability
• Proactive and highly autonomous
• 2 to 5 years’ experience working in a related field such as test and measurement, audio engineering, instrumentation, analogue electronics, power electronics, automation and manufacturing
