Senior/Staff CPU Verification Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior or Staff CPU Design Verification Engineer to join our innovative team in Cork, Ireland. In this role, you will contribute to the design and performance verification of world-class custom CPUs for server-class computers. Responsibilities:

• Demonstrating proficiency in one or more areas of CPU architecture, such as fetch, decode, branch prediction, renaming, execute units, SIMD, load/store, MMU, caches, and retire
• Gaining a deep understanding of the RISC-V ISA and the core and subsystem microarchitecture
• Collaborating with design and performance teams to develop test cases and validate new features
• Analyzing and verifying performance characteristics at multiple levels of simulation and emulation
• Writing performance analysis tools to evaluate CPU performance
• Running benchmarks and workloads under various conditions to ensure optimal performance

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in CPU design and verification
• Strong knowledge of CPU architecture and microarchitecture
• Experience working in an RTL simulation environment
• Proficiency in Verilog, C, C++, and scripting languages such as Perl or Python
• Familiarity with common performance benchmarks and workloads
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to validate and prove your ideas
