Join a cutting-edge start-up revolutionising GNSS and IoT connectivity! We are a pioneering semiconductor scale-up transforming how devices connect, communicate, and operate through our groundbreaking Digital RF technology. Applications from outside of the EU will be considered depending on skills.

Our customer is looking for a Senior Validation Engineer to join our team and contribute to shaping the future of connectivity.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Silicon Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the functionality and performance of our System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions that integrate digital, analog, and RF components. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in debugging, analyzing, and characterizing SoCs through automated test setups.

  • Collaborating with design, firmware, and software teams to define digital test requirements and validation plans
  • Developing and executing comprehensive test plans to validate digital functionalities
  • Managing SoC-level validation and bring-up, from component-level tests to full system operation
  • Creating Python/C scripts to automate tests and collect measurements using digital test equipment
  • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to verify performance across various conditions and samples
  • Utilizing tools like Python for scripting and data handling to automate processes and enhance analysis
  • Debugging and troubleshooting hardware, firmware, and digital interface issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
  • Documenting test procedures, validation results, and specifications for internal reference and compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of digital circuits, including memory, MCU architecture, and digital interfaces, with experience in low-power IoT systems
  • Hands-on experience with bus protocols (AHB, APB) and peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART)
  • Working knowledge of FPGA systems for pre-silicon debugging, particularly Zynq processors
  • Proficiency in firmware debugging and real-time troubleshooting using debugging tools and creating mini-firmware to test hardware
  • Experience with automated test setups and conducting concurrent lab tests on multiple products
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, signal generators, and programmable power supplies
  • Proficiency in Python programming for automation and data analysis; familiarity with tools like Excel, database management, and version control software (e.g., Git)

Bonus points:

  • Knowledge of GNSS technologies for precise location-based IoT applications
  • Experience in Power, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) characterization and expertise in analog hardware testing

If you are ready to be part of a team that is redefining connectivity and shaping the future of IoT, we encourage you to apply today by contacting Ane @ IC Resources with your CV and a time for an initial conversation!
