My client is a global manufacturer of electronic components and interconnect solutions, supporting customers across a range of industrial and technology-led markets. They are looking to appoint an Account Manager to manage and grow key customer relationships across ZIP regions 3 & 4 in Germany.

The role

As an Account Manager, you will take ownership of an established customer portfolio while developing new business opportunities across the territory. You’ll work closely with engineering, procurement and senior stakeholders to understand customer requirements and introduce relevant technical solutions.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Managing and developing existing customer accounts, with a focus on sustainable revenue growth.
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities within the territory.
  • Building relationships across engineering, procurement and senior decision-makers.
  • Developing account plans and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
  • Supporting customers with connectors, cable assemblies and broader interconnect solutions.
  • Working with internal technical, product and commercial teams and distribution partners.
  • Regular customer visits and business reviews to uncover new opportunities.
  • Keeping informed on market developments, customer needs and competitor activity.
  • Supporting commercial negotiations and closing opportunities.

About you

The ideal Account Manager will have around 5+ years’ experience in technical sales, account management or business development within electronics, components or a related technology environment.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A proven track record of growing existing accounts and winning new business.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to understand technical requirements and communicate solutions commercially.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and multiple customer stakeholders.
  • A commercially driven and proactive approach.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the territory.

Experience selling connectors, electronic components, cable assemblies or interconnect solutions would be highly relevant, as would exposure to markets such as industrial automation, transportation, energy, datacom, medical or aerospace.
