Principal Data Scientist

The role

You will be an integral part of a skilled technical team with a focus on leveraging data science to support a wide range of business functions. As a Principal Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of their most complex and impactful data science processes as well as being a driver in defining and upholding the business’ technical standards. Alongside the leadership of projects, you will also act as a mentor and coach for the growing team of junior and mid-level data scientists, helping them to elevate the overall capability of the team around you.

Key skills

• 8+ years of expertise in the fields of data science and machine learning
• Expert-level Python programming with a focus on implementing diverse statistical and ML techniques
• Deep theoretical foundation in statistics, experimental design, and advanced modelling
• Proven track record of deploying end-to-end data science solutions into production
• Leadership and mentorship capabilities to elevate team performance and technical quality
• High-level communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration
• Cloud and modern tooling experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly regarded
• Industry experience in finance or insurance is a plus, but not a requirement
