My client, an internationally recognised technology company developing advanced RF and antenna solutions for next-generation wireless products. As demand continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Field Application Engineer to support customers across international markets and play a key role in driving technical design wins.

This Senior Field Application Engineer position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on RF engineering with customer interaction, working closely with engineering teams to solve complex integration challenges while supporting business growth.

The role

As a Senior Field Application Engineer, you’ll become the trusted technical contact for customers throughout the product development cycle, from early design discussions through to production. Working alongside the commercial and engineering teams, you’ll help customers successfully integrate advanced RF and antenna technologies into a wide range of connected products.

You’ll provide technical guidance on PCB integration, antenna performance, RF optimisation and product validation, while supporting customers across multiple industries including IoT, industrial electronics, medical devices, automotive and consumer technology.

The position offers a mix of technical problem-solving, customer engagement and cross-functional collaboration, making it well suited to someone who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering and commercial teams.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting customers with RF and antenna integration throughout the design process
  • Reviewing PCB layouts, schematics and RF designs, providing practical recommendations to improve wireless performance
  • Assisting customers with antenna tuning, impedance matching, testing and regulatory compliance activities
  • Working alongside sales teams to secure new design opportunities and support existing programmes
  • Delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations and engineering workshops
  • Collaborating with internal engineering teams to communicate customer requirements and influence future product development
  • Managing multiple customer projects simultaneously while ensuring excellent technical support throughout each stage of development
  • Contributing to technical documentation, application guides and knowledge sharing across the wider engineering organisation

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in speaking with engineers who have a strong background in RF design, antenna technology or wireless systems, combined with experience supporting customers in a technical applications or field engineering capacity.

You’ll ideally bring experience with:

  • RF measurements using equipment such as vector network analysers and spectrum analysers
  • Wireless technologies including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, cellular, LPWAN or other RF communication standards
  • Antenna integration, PCB layout considerations and RF optimisation techniques
  • Electromagnetic simulation software such as HFSS, CST or equivalent tools
  • Working directly with customers to resolve technical challenges and support product development
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to both technical and commercial audiences
  • Experience supporting hardware certification, regulatory compliance or global customers would be advantageous, as would knowledge of PCB design tools and modern engineering workflow automation
