Join an innovative engineering company developing next-generation connected embedded systems – Cambridge, Hybrid Working

This growing engineering business is developing advanced embedded products used in demanding real-world applications. As their software team continues to expand, they’re looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with strong RTOS experience to help develop low-level firmware, device drivers and hardware control software for next-generation embedded platforms.

Working closely with electronics, hardware and systems engineers, you’ll play a key role in designing robust embedded software, developing hardware abstraction layers, implementing peripheral drivers and bringing up new hardware. You’ll be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through to production and continuous product improvement.

For this Embedded Software Engineer role, we’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong embedded C development experience on ARM-based microcontrollers
  • Commercial experience developing with Zephyr RTOS
  • Experience writing device drivers, HALs and low-level hardware control software
  • Good understanding of peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, GPIO and interrupts
  • Experience with board bring-up, debugging and embedded software architecture
  • Comfortable working closely with hardware engineers to integrate and validate new designs

What next?
