What made you choose a career in recruitment?
The earning potential was definitely a factor, as recruitment offers the opportunity to build a successful career without needing years of prior experience. I was also drawn to the fast-paced, high-pressure environment, where you can learn quickly, develop a wide range of skills and see the impact of your work.
What was your first year at IC Resources like?
It’s been an eventful year, with its fair share of highs and challenges. However, it has been a great learning experience, and I’ve developed professionally across several areas, both in terms of my recruitment skills and my confidence.
What training / career progression support have you had since you joined?
There has been a consistent focus on my development, with regular conversations about my goals, career progression and the areas I want to work towards. Through frequent check-ins, target reviews and support, I’ve been able to track my progress and identify where I can continue to improve.
What piece of advice would you give to someone considering a career in recruitment?
Make the most of the people around you and don’t be afraid to ask for advice, but equally, have confidence in your own abilities and trust the process. If you enjoy meeting new people, building relationships and working in a fast-paced environment, recruitment can be a really rewarding career.
Why would you recommend IC Resources to people looking to start or improve their career in recruitment?
The experience and knowledge within the team are invaluable, whether you’re looking for career advice or support with understanding your market. There’s also a great social culture, and your hard work is recognised and rewarded. At IC Resources, the effort you put in can make a real difference to your progression and success.
