FPGA Engineer

Oxfordshire, England
Exciting new Oxford based Start Up
Job ID: 453041

We are supporting an innovative semiconductor company in Oxford developing next-generation processor technology designed to deliver significant improvements in computing efficiency and performance. They are looking to add an FPGA Engineer to their growing hardware team, helping to bring advanced silicon concepts from architecture through to implementation.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex digital systems in a highly collaborative environment. You’ll be involved in FPGA development, system integration, verification, and performance optimisation, working closely with architects, ASIC engineers, software developers, and verification teams.

The position will involve developing RTL, implementing designs on FPGA platforms, supporting architectural exploration, and validating new features before silicon production. You’ll contribute throughout the development lifecycle, helping to solve challenging problems in high-performance digital design.

They are looking for an FPGA Engineer with the following background:

  • FPGA development experience using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog
  • Experience with Xilinx or Intel FPGA platforms
  • Understanding of digital design, verification, and timing closure
  • Experience with simulation and debugging of complex systems
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or TCL
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Experience with processor architectures, SoC design, high-speed interfaces, or ASIC development would be advantageous.

This is an opportunity to join a highly ambitious semiconductor company working on technology that could redefine the efficiency of future computing platforms.
