FPGA Engineer – Low-Latency Digital Systems

We are supporting a technology company developing ultra-low latency digital systems for high-performance computing environments. They are looking to add an FPGA Engineer to their growing hardware team, helping to develop next-generation FPGA platforms where latency, throughput, and reliability are critical.

This is a hands-on engineering role offering the opportunity to work across the full FPGA development lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with firmware, software, and DevOps teams to design, implement, verify, and optimise high-performance digital systems deployed within demanding production environments.

The role will involve developing FPGA architectures, implementing RTL, creating verification environments, and supporting synthesis, timing closure, and hardware validation. As a senior member of the team, you’ll also contribute to technical direction, mentor other engineers, and help drive continuous improvements across FPGA development processes.

They are looking for an FPGA Engineer with the following background:

  • 7+ years of FPGA development or RTL design experience
  • Strong RTL development skills using SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL
  • Experience with Xilinx or Intel FPGA toolchains such as Vivado or Quartus
  • Knowledge of simulation, synthesis, place and route, and timing closure
  • Experience developing complex, high-performance digital systems
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams

Experience within low-latency computing, financial technology, or other performance-critical environments would be advantageous.
