Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

I’m working with an innovative technology company developing ruggedised hardware for demanding real-world environments, and they’re looking for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading mechanical design from concept through to manufacture
• Developing robust products for challenging environments
• Improving product reliability and environmental performance
• Working across materials, thermal management and sealing
• Leading prototyping, testing and product validation
• Championing DfM and DfA
• Providing technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience developing complex hardware products in aerospace, defence or similar industries
• Strong 3D CAD skills — SolidWorks, Siemens NX or similar
• A proven track record taking products from concept through to manufacture
• Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
• The ability to lead technical projects and work across multidisciplinary teams
