Our international client is currently searching for a Senior Epitaxy Equipment Engineer to provide equipment engineering and technical support to the Epitaxy team, ensuring high equipment uptime, supporting production, fault finding, maintenance, upgrades and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate daily maintenance with Manufacturing and Process teams
- Maintain, troubleshoot and improve MOVPE/MOCVD and associated semiconductor equipment
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning and new-tool procurement
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to maximise uptime
- Provide technical guidance to Shift Technicians and supervise contractors/service engineers
- Support equipment moves, cleanroom projects and shutdown activities, including occasional weekend overtime
- Liaise with suppliers and specialist service providers
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ semiconductor/wafer fab or epitaxy engineering experience
- Strong experience with MOVPE and/or MOCVD
- Good knowledge of vacuum systems, Hi-Vac, pumps, leak testing, pneumatics and PLCs
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- HNC/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship
Desirable:
- Aixtron MOVPE reactor or other CVD experience
- Semiconductor process gas systems and Mass Flow Controllers
