Sr. Principal DevOps Engineer

Sr. Principal DevOps/Platform Engineer: $200–250K

San Diego Metropolitan Area (on-site)

We’re working with a big name in the deep tech space in their search for a Sr. Principal DevOps Engineer with a very high level of autonomy.

This is a hybrid position in the San Diego area.

Because the client does a significant amount of work with the U.S. federal government, we can only consider U.S. citizens and Green Card holders at this time.

This position will require a very high level of autonomy. You must be a self-starter and not require much “hand-holding”.

What we’re looking for in a Sr. Principal DevOps Engineer:

• 10 years’ experience in the software engineering field, with a focus on DevOps/SRE
• Expert-level expertise in containerization/orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
• Very strong scripting and/or programming experience: Python, Go, Bash, etc.
• Extensive experience in multi-cloud and hybrid environments
• Highly proficient with IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible
• Extensive experience building and releasing CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub
• Experience with cloud security and compliance best practices and DevSecOps
• High level of autonomy and agency, with the ability to work with little direction
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
