An exciting opportunity for a Systems Analysis & Simulation Engineer has arisen with an innovative space connectivity start-up developing next-generation laser communications technology, based in Oxford.

As a Systems Analysis & Simulation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing simulation and analysis tools that optimise optical Space-to-Ground communication links and services. You will develop sophisticated models, analyse large datasets, and improve network performance through advanced simulation, helping to shape the future of global connectivity.

The is a hybrid role, requiring you onsite 3 days a week.

Experience of the Systems Analysis & Simulation Engineer will include:

  • At least 3 years’ commercial experience in systems analysis, modelling and/or simulation
  • Experience developing complex models and simulations using MATLAB
  • Experience developing, testing and analysing empirical datasets
  • Strong data processing and analysis skills, including handling large datasets efficiently
  • MATLAB and Python programming experience
  • Desired: Experience with satellite communications or optical/laser communications
