VP Applications Engineering – CPU & AI Infrastructure
A rare opportunity to help shape the future of CPU performance for AI. Join an ambitious stealth mode start-up who are developing a custom CPU designed to overcome the limitations of today’s processors.
This is a hands-on applications and performance engineering leadership role. You’ll work directly with the CTO and CPU team, analysing real-world AI workloads, profiling performance on existing silicon and translating the findings into architectural improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead the applications engineering team whilst remaining hands-on
- Analyse AI and data centre workloads to identify CPU performance bottlenecks
- Benchmark workloads on existing silicon in the marketplace
- Engage with leading AI labs, hyperscalers and infrastructure teams
Requirements:
- Relevant technical degree, or equivalent, in electronic engineering
- Strong understanding of CPU performance and data centre software stacks
- Experience working with AI Labs and hyperscalers
- Good knowledge of compilers a definite plus
