This is a new position for an existing IC Design Architect or for an Analog IC Design Engineer who is keen to further their career and advance into System Architecture within the growing Medical Wearables market!

In this role the System Architect will help drive the next generation of technologies and products and serve new and exciting opportunities in wearable health and medical diagnostics. As part of a highly collaborative team, you will be responsible for the development of low-power, high-performance mixed-signal IC’s in advanced CMOS processes, specified to drive transformational change in these new applications and markets.

Responsibilities include:
  • Establish architecture definition for complex IC/SoC designs involving class ultra-low power instrumentation IP, DAC's/ADC's, buck/boost converters, charge pumps as well as advanced DSP.
  • Lead architecture reviews and participate in IC-level design reviews and board-level design reviews
  • Detail system and performance requirements for both IC and accompanying SW features
  • Collaborate with customers, marketing, design, software and applications teams to define the next generation of products
  • Determine hardware/software trade-off analysis for key features and requirements
  • Work with Strategic Marketing, Design Engineering and IP teams on novel solutions 
  • Contribute significantly to business planning around technology and IP aspects
  • Understand finer details of customer architectures, roadmap, likely evolution of architectures
Masters or PhD qualified in Electronic Engineering or Microelectronics, you will have relevant experience and knowledge in ultra-low power design techniques for Analog/Mixed signal CMOS circuit design with a proven track record of delivery and commercial success as well as experience performing IC architectural decisions. Significant experience is required in architecting, specifying and designing ultra-low power, mixed signal components for portable electronic products. A broad system level knowledge in the low-power portable application space is an advantage. Experience in Electrochemical Sensing, biomedical, High impedance sensing, signal processing particularly ADC paths are all of high interest for this position.

Excellent communication skills are required with the ability to work well in a team and thrive in a dynamic environment. You will be organised, thorough and detailed with a high level of self-motivation, commercial awareness, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
